Double Balvenie Cocktail Recipe

I like to use premium quality ingredients, the reason I have chosen Balvenie is because as a distillery they have retained many of the original craftsmanship roles in creating their single malts.

I like to use premium quality ingredients, the reason I have chosen Balvenie is because as a distillery they have retained many of the original craftsmanship roles in creating their single malts. As well as this reason, I have also chosen Balvenie 12 year old Doublewood as the drink can be enhanced further by replacing the single malt with the Balvenie 17 year old Doublewood giving the cocktail that bit more elegance and smoothness.

Method

  1. Add a double measure of Balvenie 12 year old single malt whisky to a double measure of Cinzano Rosso and a single measure of Aperol.
  2. Shake lightly and finish with Orange Bitters.

Smooth and Stylish

A fantastically smooth combination allows for the subtle notes of orange to dominate the palate whilst the sweet fruit and sherry notes of the Balvenie still come through on the nose. To taste the nutty sweetness and cinnamon spice of the Balvenie combine with the bitters to infuse together in an almost medicinal fashion leaving behind a soothing and long lasting finish.
