One of my favourite breakfast treats are traditional Scottish drop scones. Very simple to prepare and great for keeping in the fridge for a perfect lazy Sunday morning (not that I seem to get many of them these days). I prefer mine with marmalade and Greek yoghurt. You can change this recipe and use fresh berries, jam or honey. Please have a go at this great recipe at home and let us know your thoughts.

225g self raising flour
30g caster sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp golden syrup
This recipe works at its best when batter has been allowed to rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Enjoy with a freshly brewed cup of tea.
